We are the representatives of Russian civil society who oppose the war unleashed by Putin, who oppose the dictatorship in Russia, and who understand the need to unite all anti-war, pro-democracy Russians. We hereby declare our readiness to act together towards these aims.

It is obvious to us that Putin’s regime must be completely dismantled, and Russian statehood re-established on a new foundation of democracy and the rule of law.

We urge you to consider us the rightful representatives of those citizens of Russia who refuse to be part of Putin’s murderous and morally bankrupt system. When the unavoidable collapse of Putin’s dictatorship arrives, we are poised to coordinate the reconstruction of a free and peaceful Russia.

We envision a future for Russia as a democratic and peaceful country that respects the human rights of its citizens and the territorial integrity of other states. Russia will be a country that seeks alliances and compromises, rather than confrontation, both in foreign and domestic policy. Russian greatness will be based on the civic consciousness and prosperity of each citizen, on a developed and open economy, and on the richness of its culture. Ultimately, we strive to build a Russia that other people aspire to, rather than a country they wish to flee from.
